Tack or tape a white bed sheet on the wall. One
of the players sits down on the chair facing the sheet. At the
opposite side of the room you will need a lamp on a table. Each
person playing takes turns walking between the lamp and the guesser
. The guesser must try to guess the person by their shadow as they
walk through. The player who is recognized becomes the guesser.
Players can try to change their shadows ( squat, stick belly out,
pillow under shirt, etc. )
One person gives clues such as - they are either a person, place or
thing . Other players then ask questions (what color are you , can
you speak, do you bark, how old are you, etc). When someone guesses
what the person is, they are next. If no one guesses, the same
person goes again. You can write names of people, places or things
on paper and have each person pick one on their turn. Or you can
just let the person pick his own person, place or thing .
Divide the players into 2 teams. You will need a long rope with a
ribbon or string tied to mark the middle of the rope. Put 2 lines
on the ground so the players stand behind the lines. Each team
holds one end of the rope and when the leader says "go" the teams
pull the rope. The team that pulls the other team over their line
is the winner. In summer you can do this outside with a kiddie pool
in the middle. The team that is pulled over, falls into the pool.
