In this game, the first player hums the theme
song to a favorite TV show -(the Simpsons, American Idol). Whoever
guesses the show hums the next song. Whoever gets five guesses
right, is the winner !
The first player begins this game by saying, "I'm going to a picnic
and I'm bringing (something that begins with the letter A; e.g.,
apples)." The next player says, "I'm going to a picnic and I'm
bringing apples and (something that begins with the letter B; e.g.,
bananas)." It goes around and around with each player having to
recite the whole list and then adding a new entry for the next
letter of the alphabet all the way to the letter z.
If someone misses an item or gets stumped, they are out. You can
change the rules by giving clues or letting them miss three before
they are out. It isn't a game that one person wins; everyone wins
by making the ride more fun.
The idea of this ABC game is to complete the alphabet. Everyone is
playing at once. Looking out the windows you see letters on
billboards & license plates. When you see the letter A you
shout it out and point, then B, etc. Once a letter has been found
other players cannot use the same letter, they need to use the next
letter. You can keep score of who gets the most letters or just
play for fun with no score keeping.
Collect about 10 items before for your trip( toys,
barrettes, silverware,). Choose items that will be hard for the
players to guess. Put items in a box or bag. Blindfold a player,
have them reach into the box or bag and without looking, they feel,
smell, whatever it takes for them to guess the item they are
holding.
